The driver and passengers of a van (rear right) escaped with only minor injuries on Friday, Dec. 29, after the driver of a southbound vehicle veered into oncoming traffic on U.S. Highway 191 near the Holiday Inn Express and struck the van, causing it to roll onto the road’s shoulder.
The southbound driver was reportedly distracted by a sound in the back of the vehicle and looked away from the road, crossing into the northbound lane and hitting the van; the driver was cited for unsafe driving conditions.
