Suzann Vee Hill

Suzann Vee Hill, 67, passed away in the comfort of her home after battling pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her husband Michael Eugene Hill; children Barberella Leah Hill, Yancy Eugene Hill (Dalena), Jovina Lynn Wright (Shawn), and Cassandra Vee Bastian; granddaughters KaLeigh (Tyler), Reina (Tyrel), D’kota, Ayden, Jaeda, Gabriell, Alethia, Zella, and Zoe; great-granddaughters Trinity and Harper, great-grandsons Graysen and Taylen; sister Janet Henke; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Verona Stocks; brother Peter Kakunus; and many, many more.

Suzann was known for her contagious laugh, beautiful style, graceful poise and being one heck of a conversationalist. She was incredibly generous and would never turn away a hungry mouth.

She passed down many traditions such as canning, quilting, fancy Christmas dinners and delicious family favorites such as chicken lemon soup.

Suzann always opened her home to everyone and especially teens in need. She would provide a roof over their heads and make sure they were included as her own. So it would only be fitting that she chose a career where she was directly involved in helping high school students achieve their academic goals and get set on the path toward a college education.

We will certainly miss her bright smile and her incredibly funny personality, and always be grateful for all the wisdom she passed down.

We would like to thank the following for all of their support through this journey: Mearl at Spanish Valley Mortuary; Grand County Hospice for their wonderful help and guidance; the Relief Society for bringing meals; and all the well wishes from family and friends.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life at the Old City Park on September 24, at 11 a.m. Bring a dish and memories to share with family and friends.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.SpanishValleyMortuary.com.
