David Joseph “Joe” Christensen

David Joseph “Joe” Christensen, 45, suddenly passed away on the night of February 23, 2017, at his grandparents’ home, where he lived.

Joe was born on May 23, 1971, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Moab to David and Lynn Norton Christensen. He was raised in Moab, and went to college in Logan, Utah. He then moved to Grand Junction, Colorado, where he married Michaelle Condit in 1992. They had a daughter, Tiffany Marie, in 1993. They moved back to Moab, and shortly after divorced. Joe, along with Michaelle and Corey Foy, raised their daughter. They all worked and lived close. Joe was very passionate about golf, cruises, the Steelers, Tiffany and caring for his grandparents.

Joe loved working at City Market, where for 26 years, he worked in various management positions. He loved his customers. He retired on January 21, 2017. He retired to take care of his grandparents Wayne and Ramona Norton, just as they did for him growing up. He had been on several cruises all over the world. You could almost guarantee that if the Steelers were playing football, he was watching them! He was so excited when his daughter got married and couldn’t wait to someday be a grandpa.

Joe is survived by his mother Lynn (Jim) Mosher; daughter Tiffany (Jeremiah) Windsor; grandparents Wayne and Ramona Norton; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father David; and an aunt, Sheryl Norton, along with some cousins and grandparents.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 2, at 1 p.m. at the St. Pius X Catholic Church, with a viewing one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
