Kiersten’s essay was sent to District 5, where she received a first-place blue ribbon. At the state level, she received a certificate of honorable mention.
The winners of the fifth- and sixth-grade division from Helen M. Knight Elementary are Natalie Haase in first place, followed by Madison Butler in second place and Hallie Packard in third place.
