Darlene Somerville, 78, of Moab, passed way at her home on April 7, 2016, after a short illness.
Darlene was born in Brownfield, Texas, in 1937 to Jesse and Dolly Lanier. She worked various jobs before moving to Moab. She worked for Three States Parts for many years. In 1972, she began her own business B.A.T. Services, and served the Moab area for 35 years.
She married Sam Somerville in 1960 and was married for 56 years. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Andrew Somerville; and her grandson, Jeffery Andrew Lee. She is survived by her husband; her son, Stewart and Susan Somerville; her daughter, Debra and Phillip (Bugs) Lee; and daughter Andrea and Tom Edwards. She is also survived by grandchildren Ryan Edwards and Sami Edwards, and by two great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Moab LDS Stake Center. Burial followed at the Grand Valley Cemetery.
