DEAR EDITOR,
What a great event! I just want to thank the Moab Valley Multicultural Center for putting on the most wonderful fun event ever held in Moab. I am talking about Dancing with the Moab Stars, which was held last Friday at Star Hall.
Rhiana, Leti and the entire crew put on a world-class event, with the proceeds going to a great cause. I want to thank all the dancers for putting themselves out there and all the hard work they went through to put on such a fantastic show: You are all STARS. Most of us ― heck, all of us ― were out of our comfort zone, but I know we all had fun. I’d also like to thank my dancing partner Rita Maldonado for her patience and her willingness to put up with me as she taught me how to dance.
The audience was great; thank you for supporting the dancers and the center. I am so proud of this community and the different ways we come together to support one another. Thanks to the MVMCC for all the work that you do in our community. Don’t forget about the Day of the Dead celebration at the center on Nov. 1.
