Ralph Dennis Robson was born February 16, 1947 in Moab, Utah to Ralph Gordon and La Rae Bronson Robson. He passed away September 5, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He attended schools in Monticello and graduated with the class of 1965. Dennis attended BYU-Hawaii for a year, and then served a mission for the LDS Church in the New England states.
He loved skiing and helped with the Blue Mountain ski area. He was a ski patrolman and managed the lift for a while. He was an EMT and also served as a member of the San Juan Sheriff’s Patrol for several years. His cousin, Dick Smith, got him interested in flying and he got his license and would help with crop dusting. He would also fly when asked by the Sheriff to assist in search-and-rescues. He enjoyed taking family and friends for rides over the canyons.
Dennis moved to Salt Lake City for several years and worked for Fred Meyers. Later he moved to Mesa, Ariz., where he worked as a dialysis technician. He came back to Monticello to help care for his parents, and after his mother passed away, he moved to Moab.
Dennis especially enjoyed family outings, Easter picnics, cookouts on the mountain, and jeep trips to Canyonlands.
Dennis will be missed by his friends and family, and especially by his loving pets and all the animals that he was caring for.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and La Rae Robson, and a granddaughter Miranda. He is survived by his long-time companion, Larry Hixon; a son Rick; grandsons Landon and Tony; three sisters Sheran Iverson, Sandra Black, and Jan Mardanlou, and many nieces and nephews.
