More climbing routes have been re-opened in Arches National Park.
Several rock climbing routes were temporarily closed as surveys were being conducted to determine whether there were nesting raptors and or lambing desert big horn sheep in the area.
The climbing routes that have been opened include The Pickle near the entrance of the park; Crohn’s Odyssey, Left Route, Project One and Project Two on Crohn’s Wall near Hwy 191; Cuddlebunny Tower, False Start, North Marcher, Sand Hearse and Unknown Marching Men in the Klondike Bluffs area.
The following areas remain closed until surveys are completed. If the surveys determine habitats to be unoccupied by sensitive wildlife, the routes may be reopened.
Ham Rock within the Garden of Eden section will be closed until Aug. 15.
