A closed-door workshop of local and state officials with the Trump administration on Dec. 1 is raising concerns in Grand County, where the outcome could influence future management decisions at Arches National Park.
Grand County is considering new positions and pay adjustments for 2026, including roles in recreation, wildfire mitigation, and public safety. HR Director Tess Barger said several upgrades are needed to meet workload and compliance demands. Budget talks continue later this month.
