Charles Nelson lived to the age of 98 ½. In his years, he served in WWII, raised seven children and bought Moab’s Egg Ranch with his wife, Lucy.

Dorothy Jean Stocks-Gough, nearly 81, passed away suddenly on March 22, 2025. A lifelong resident of Moab, Dorothy dedicated much of her life to serving her community as the Grand County Assessor. However, her greatest passion was always her family.
John “Johnny” Patterson, 65, passed away March 4, 2025, in Grand Junction after an extended battle with cancer. A Moab native and skilled heavy equipment operator, he is remembered by a wide circle of family and friends. Services will be held April 7 at Spanish Valley Mortuary.
Wendy’s legacy lives on in the towers she climbed, the canyons she explored, and the family she loved fiercely. A celebration of life is planned for summer 2025.
Rory Paul Tyler was born on December 27, 1950, in Tichigan Lake, Wisconsin. He passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, at his home in Castleton, Utah.
Roxie Johnson Day Mallon Arthur Brady was born October 21, 1955 to Jerry Day Sr. and Peggy Harper. She was raised by Peggy Harper and her honorary father Fred Johnson. She spent her life devoted to Grand County Sheriff’s Office and the Moab City Police Department working as a 911 dispatcher and then as administrative assistant. She retired in 2019 after 39 years.
Gaylord Rick Martin (Ricky), was born on November 28, 1957, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and passed away March 6, 2025, at his home in Moab.
“I told him to sleep sweetly with the angels, and he said, “Baby, you are my Angel.” I said, “Then sleep with me.” Somewhere between 5:30 and 5:50 a.m., I woke up and he didn’t. He will forever be my Cowboy, my Everything, and I’ll forever be his Angel.”
