Jacqueline Klaila

Jacqueline Lou Davis Klaila died peacefully at the age of 89 from complications related to Alzheimer’s on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Canyonlands Care Center in Moab.

Jackie lived a full and happy life. She especially enjoyed being surrounded by her children, taking cruises, beachwalks, collecting sharks’ teeth, board games, playing in a kitchen band, spending summers on Little Sebago Lake, eating lobster, swimming and reading. She always remembered special occasions with greeting cards. Everyone was touched by this.

Jackie is survived by her six children: Davis Klaila of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin; Bill Klaila of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Cynthia Klaila of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Louise Klaila of New Orleans, Louisiana; Mary Jane Klaila of Moab; and Nancy Williams of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her brother Robert Davis of Venice, Florida; sister Carolyn Foerster of Portland, Maine; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Klaila; her son, John Robert Klaila; her brother, Sterling Davis; and her parents, Hartley and Mary Davis.

Jackie was always the life of the party and will be missed by all.

At Jackie’s request, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.
