Me-OW! Cosmo the Library Cat, here to say that I survived another routine visit to the veterinarian. I’m hale and hearty–the picture of abundant health! I’m happy to report I completed the visit with dignity and minimal growling and yowling, unlike some canine patients I could mention. Aside from the mild trauma of being lovingly poked and prodded and bribed with treats, I can confidently say that all is well here. (A begrudging thankyou to my humans at Grand County Public Library!)
However, while taking a recovery snooze amongst the stuffed animals in the children’s section, I noticed that some of my fuzzy friends could use their own trip to the vet. Busted seams? Missing eyes? So sad. I’d imagine this is a common experience for well-loved stuffies the world over! In honor of these fallen comrades, and because every creature should visit the doctor once in a while, the library will be hosting a “Care-Bear Veterinary Clinic!”
Do you or someone you know have any stuffed friends at home that might need a little TLC?
Bring your bruised stuffed animals to the Grand County Public Library on Tuesday, September 30. From 4 to 6 p.m., we will have a team of helpful “veterinarians” standing by with needle, thread, googly eyes and glue, ready to try and spiff up your friend! And you can take a turn being an animal doctor with our brand-new vet kit. This event is aimed at stuffed animals at all levels of care–and their favorite children of all ages. Hope to see you there!
