All five Moab city council candidates confirmed for event at the Moab Arts Center; community questions collected from around town

The League of Women Voters Southeast Utah will host a candidate forum featuring all five Moab City Council candidates on Monday, September 15, at the Moab Arts Center.

Doors open to the public at 5:45 p.m. League organizers confirmed that all five candidates have committed to attending: mayoral candidates Curtis Wells and Joette Langianese, and council candidates Howard Trenholme, Jason Taylor, and Miles Loftin.

The forum—broadcast live on KZMU Radio—will provide voters an opportunity to hear directly from candidates on issues affecting the community, with questions drawn from extensive outreach efforts across Moab.

The League has collected questions through multiple community engagement efforts, including tabling at the Moab Free Concert Series using a “drop a question in the bucket” approach and attending the Grand Center community lunch to gather input from residents.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization focused on voter education and engagement.

For more information about volunteering or the event, residents can contact the League of Women Voters Southeast Utah at lwvseu@lwvutah.org. The League will also be tabling at the upcoming Youth Garden Project Harvest Festival.
