After his guest appearance atop a Moab Firetruck at the December 7 Electric Light Parade, Mr. Claus pitstopped at Moab’s City Market the following Saturday, December 14. Children of the valley whispered final addendums to their wishlists in his ear and reported on their behavior, while Mr. Claus showcased a belt of vintage bells curious investigators might catch wind of Christmas Eve.

“I love giving back to this community,” said Mr. Claus, who owns a home on 600 East (Moab being one of his favorite vacation spots when he isn’t working at the NP). “Years ago my home caught on fire, and the locals went above and beyond to help me clean up and move back in only 6 weeks later. Checking in before Christmas is just my way of repaying that generosity.”
