Margaret L. Hopkin Middle School October Students of the Month

The 7th grade Student of the Month is Camila Falcon!

So far this year, Camila has shown great focus and engagement in class, paying attention and going above and beyond, even when there are distractions. She works hard and is always eager to tackle daily assignments and projects.  Camila is also very helpful to her classmates and teachers, creating a positive atmosphere in the classroom. Her strong work ethic and willingness to collaborate make her an important part of the 7th grade.  Camila plays basketball and soccer.  She is kind and cheerful.  She is an artist and considers herself a Swiftie.  Camila has 5 siblings and one sister in law.  Her advice to others is “Don’t change yourself for someone, always be you!  Because people don’t know you more than you know yourself”.  Congratulations, Camila!

The 8th grade Student of the Month is Trevor Holyoak!

Trevor has a quiet self confidence and works very well in class. He is self-motivated and easily focuses and accomplishes the task at hand. He is an active participant in class discussions, sharing ideas, and posing insightful questions. Trevor is a good listener and he really cares about what he is learning. He shows kindness and a willingness to help others. Students benefit from having Trevor in their class because of the way he contributes and because of his respectful behavior. Trevor sets a great example for all his peers. He likes to sketch and free-draw, and he enjoys leather and wood working.  Trevor’s favorite color is green and he plays pickleball.  He also plays D&D, Robotics, and musical instruments. Trevor’s advice to others is “Don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself and others.  Strive to be a good role model”.  Congratulations, Trevor!
