Before it wraps up for the season, Moab Art Walk is back for one last shindig this weekend.
Four Art Walk hosts in downtown Moab will be participating in this month’s event on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 6 to 9 p.m.
At 7 N. Main St., Triassic Industries is selling its handmade, locally sourced materials that present nature in a unique and sophisticated way. Triassic’s jewelry and home goods are made from sustainable sources.
With the holiday season fast approaching, Tom Till Gallery at 61 N. Main St. is offering unbeatable deals on everything in the gallery. Gifts start at $10. Now is the time to stock up on calendars, note cards and special gifts for your family and friends. Come check out their new acrylic blocks and Till’s 2016 calendar “Elemental Moab.”
The Museum of Moab at 118 E. Center St. is hosting a film, photography and art show by Grand County High School students and teacher Catherine Moore. The kids produced images that reflect their unique views of Moab. Students learned how to take photos on 35-millimeter film with SLR cameras. The only setting was manual. They developed their own film and printed with enlargers on photosensitive paper.
December’s Art Walk at Moonflower Community Cooperative features works from Moab Charter School’s Visual Art Department taught by Chrissy Noel Kinslow, also known as Madame Doodle. Kindergarten through sixth grade will be present, showcasing the best of the best. Sculptures, paintings, and everything in between will be on display.
Concurrent with Art Walk, Moonflower will be holding its Winter Solstice Party after the Christmas Electric Light Parade. Residents are invited to partake in art, food and festivities. Moonflower is located at 39 E. 100 North.
