Edna Lenore Arehart, 88, passed away on April 5, 2022, to join her sweetheart, Bud Arehart, and her children, Mike Arehart and Debbie Cox. Lenore was born on July 17, 1933, in Chilly, Idaho to Jesse Edna Cloward and Wendell Leroy Johnson and had a brother and two sisters.
Lenore married her high school sweetheart Edgar Thorpe “Bud” Arehart and together they had three children: Mike (Ann) Arehart, Ginger (Manuel) Torres, and Debbie (Paul) Cox.
In 1957, the family moved to Moab where Lenore worked at City Market, retiring after 32 years of service. She considered the people she worked with her great friends and family. She belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many ways and callings. She served 3 missions for the church, one at the Monticello Temple along with her husband and 3 years as a single. She also served 2 missions at BYU in Nauvoo, Illinois, as a single sister missionary. Lenore’s unconditional love for others was her greatest strength.
There is a grand reunion in heaven now that Lenore has joined Bud, her husband of 52 years, and her two children, Mike and Debbie. Lenore is leaving behind her daughter, Ginger (Manuel) Torres; 10 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren, not including those who have married into the family.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center on Locust Lane (701 Locust Lane, Moab). A viewing will be held on Friday, April 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Spanish Valley Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
