Phyllis E. Ogden-George

Phyllis E. Ogden-George was born Aug. 8, 1925 to Howard Warner and Olive Warner- Evans in a small log cabin in Ophir, Colo. She grew up in Teluride, Colo., and had many great stories growing up there.

During the 1940s Phyllis moved with her family moved to California. There she met and married Gilbert Ogden. They raised three children: Jim, Barbara and Pam.

Phyllis and Gilbert spent their retirement years traveling. One of those travels took them to Parker Dam, Calif., where they spent their winters.

After Gilbert passed away, she continued to go her winter home, when she then met the next love in her life Ernie George. Ernie and Phyllis shared many adventures together and played golf as often as they could. Ernie shared his beautiful Canadian home with her in New Denver, BC.

Phyllis started her last adventure quietly on April 10, 2013 in the early morning.

Phyllis was proceeded in death by her husband Gilbert L. Ogden, her parents Howard Warner and Olive Warner- Evans, and Robert C. Evans, as well as her brother Albert “Bud” Warner.

She is survived by her husband Ernest George of Canada; a son James (Nancy) Ogden of Idaho; two daughters Barbara (Al) Hahn of Oregon, and Pam Seep of Moab; stepchildren Allison George and William George; seven grand children, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday April 14, 2013 at Spanish Valley Mortuary. A burial of the ashes will take place at a later date. Condolences for the family may be sent to Spanish Valley Mortuary.
