Amid a national shortage, the American Red Cross is urging eligible blood donors of all blood types — especially type O — to give blood now to ensure a sufficient supply for hospital patients this spring.
Rick Thompson, of Rick’s Glass in Moab, was one of many locals who donated blood when the Red Cross was in Moab on March 19. Jordie Wallentine, with the Red Cross, took his blood. The Red Cross blood drive was at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Locust Lane.
