Grand County Council member Mary McGann, council member Terry Morse and San Juan County Commissioner Ken Maryboy, pictured left to right, listened to constituents at a historic joint meeting of the Grand County Council and the San Juan County Commission on Monday, June 10, at the Old Spanish Trail Pavilion.
On the agenda was discussion of development near the counties’ shared boundary, a discussion with SITLA Director Dave Ure about regional issues, potential changes to the Transient Room Tax and cost-sharing for emergency services.
Some Spanish Valley residents in attendance had pointed questions for their elected officials and for Ure on the controversial Love’s truck stop proposed for the area. The full story will be in next week’s edition of the Moab Sun News.
