Ina E. Griswold, Dec. 6, 1927 – Nov. 3, 2019

Ina E. Griswold, 92, passed away on Nov. 3, 2019, at Moab Regional Hospital.

Ina, also known as “Momma,” was born in Florida on Dec. 6, 1927, to Mark and Neavis Nicholas. She was the oldest of three children.

Momma loved to teach everywhere she went. She used life experiences to teach lessons in everything she did.

She had a degree in home economics and in special education. She taught Sabbath School and finances.

Ina was an entrepreneur who started many of her own businesses including sign painting, the selling and care of plants, and running greenhouses.

Upon moving to Moab, she opened a residential care home, where she looked after many in their final years and days. As a sideline, she opened the Shiloh Inn where she hosted many guests.  Momma loved to paint and had a showing of her paintings at the Moab Museum.

She found rest and relaxation in gardening and serving.

At Ina’s request, cremation will take place. A memorial service was held on Nov. 5 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
