Grand junior Hannah Owen swung the bat on Saturday, March 10, during a tournament in St. George. The Lady Red Devils went 3-2 over two days of competition against larger schools. The Lady Red Devils were scheduled to play at Emery on Tuesday, March 13, before heading to St. George for another tournament on Friday, March 16, and Saturday, March 17. In boys baseball news, the Grand County High School baseball team won the Bloomfield tournament to open the season for the third time in the past four years, toppling host Bloomfield, New Mexico, 13-2 in the final on Saturday, March 10.
