The teachers at Grand County Middle School had a hard time picking just one student of the month.
Lexie Patterson and Trenton Nelson are both named as Grand County Middle School’s Students of the Month for May.
The teachers said Lexie is the best choice for student of the month because she is always smiling and bouncing around.
“We love this student because she has an infectious smile and is always bubbly and happy. She works really hard on her assignments and is always open to helping her peers in class,” her teachers wrote.
Lexie takes on extra responsibilities. She was a big help with the school yearbook, and will be a part of honor society next year.
People at school love to be around Lexie.
There’s something about her that draws everyone in and makes them smile. Lexie’s sister was also a student of the month in 7th grade.
Lexie says of herself: “My favorite class is science”.
She likes going to California, hanging out with friends and family, dancing, being outside and playing volleyball. Lexie has two sisters; one blood-sister and the other is her stepsister.
Lexie’s advice is, “Be kind to others and stay organized.”
Great job, Lexie!
Trenton is the son of Rhett and Holly Nelson.
“Trenton is pretty awesome. He always comes looking sharp to school, works hard every day, and knows how to make people laugh. Trenton is a wonderful choice for student of the month because he’s a team player,” his teachers wrote.
Trenton loaned his desk partner about 5 million sheets of paper throughout last trimester and even seemed happy to do it. He’s an easy choice for student of the month because he’s always happy, is nice to everyone, and he’s not arrogant. He’s just real.
Trenton’s teachers said, “His only downfall is that he’s not as funny as his teachers but, at least he’s young and still has time to practice his jokes!”
Trenton likes football, hunting and playing baseball. Trenton really likes “Fortnite.” He has a trampoline, and he’s best friends with Kyson O’Donnal.
Trenton’s advice is, “Work hard!”
Great job, Trenton!
Grand County Middle School’s Student of the Month for eighth grade is Madison Munger.
Madi is the daughter of Jonas and Debbie Munger.
Madi’s teachers said of her, “The eighth grade student of the month is very strong academically, and she has a very bright personality as well.”
Madi does well in all of her classes because she is responsible and hardworking. Her teachers said that she does meticulous and thorough work on all of her class assignments. The other thing that her teachers really appreciate about her is her positive and cheerful attitude: she never complains.
