Recently graduated, 18-year-old Kaylan Young is completing her Girl Scout Gold Award: KK’s Book Houses. Little Free Libraries, small structures that have books available for people to borrow and read, are popping up in Moab. Young said she is taking the project to the next level by placing her boxes in areas visited frequently by children. She is working with the Grand County Public Library to create a reading program to help the children of Moab learn to love reading because she said it will help them soar further into their lives and future.
