Brenda “Kathy” Turner, March 6, 1947 – July 31, 2017

Brenda “Kathy” Turner, 70, of Moab, Utah, passed away peacefully during the early morning hours on July 31, 2017 at her home in Moab.

Kathy was born in Moab to Sheriff W. H. Bowman and Bernice Bowman on March 6, 1947. She attended high school in Moab. She had a passion for helping others and decided to use this passion and become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Kathy worked several years at Allen Memorial Hospital, where she made many friends and brightened the lives of many. Kathy later went on to the home health field until her retirement. Kathy enjoyed living in Moab and loved the outdoors.

Kathy was preceded in death by her son Eric Elliott and her parents Haskell and Bernice Bowman.

Kathy is survived by her son John Elliott and his wife, Lori Elliott; and her daughter Dixie Schultz, as well as her two sisters, Donna McNeely and Janet Axtell. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Grand Valley Cemetery. A viewing will be held in Kathy’s honor at the Spanish Valley Mortuary on Thursday evening, August 3, from 6 to 8 p.m., as well as Friday from 11 to 12:30 p.m.
