Wendy Cooper, 86, passed away at her home in West Valley City on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. She was surrounded by her children.

Wendy was born in Great Yarmouth, England, on July 26, 1939, to Harry Soanes and Jesse Read. She first came to America in 1959 with her first husband, Eber Phillips, with whom she had four children. Wendy returned to England in 1981. She married her second husband, Ron Cooper, in England, and they remained together until his passing in April of 2000.

Wendy was known for her love of holidays, helping the strays in her neighborhood, and her presidency of the Oil Wives Club in England. She adored collecting ceramic dolls, angels, and collectibles from her travels. She also enjoyed spending time with her family—from holidays and birthdays to long talks on the phone.

Wendy is survived by her children Tania Randall of West Valley City, Utah; Dirk Phillips of Sparks, Nevada; and Michele Garcia of Moab, Utah. She was also blessed with 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Wendy was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Castillo, and her grandson, Devon Castillo. As we mourn the passing of your beloved family member, we will remember you are always in our hearts and always going to be treasured.
