Travelers flying through Salt Lake City International Airport can now sample a taste of Moab. The Moab Brewery has opened its new restaurant in the new Concourse B, bringing locally brewed beer and familiar pub fare to Utah’s busiest travel hub.
We spoke to the Moab Brewery back in August 2024 to report the brewery’s selection for the airport’s concessions expansion after a competitive process. The project, operated in partnership with national concessionaire Paradies Lagardère, aims to showcase Utah-based businesses to travelers passing through the airport.
“It’s hugely exciting for us to represent Moab in the airport,” said Scott Davis, Moab Brewery vice president of sales, who noted that the deal was almost a decade in the making.
Founded in 1996 by John Borkoski and Dave Sabey, Moab Brewery has grown into one of the state’s largest microbreweries. The new location features many of the dishes and drinks familiar to Moab locals.
When the airport partnership was first announced, co-founder Borkoski told the Sun News the project was “a chance to share a piece of Moab with the world.” The company says all beer served at the airport is brewed in Moab and distributed to Salt Lake City, connecting travelers directly with the community that inspired it.
“We’re excited to partner with Moab Brewery to bring one of Utah’s most iconic local brewpubs to Salt Lake City International Airport,” said Leigh Allan, senior vice president of dining for Paradies Lagardère. “Travelers will be able to experience a true taste of Utah’s adventurous spirit, right at SLC.”
