When the Moab Sun News first covered The Skybound Traveler: Climbing Spirit Deck and Guidebook in March, it was just a Kickstarter campaign. Now, the finished deck and 120-page guidebook are ready to meet the world.
Tonight from 5 to 7 p.m., Moab local Daniel McNeil will celebrate the launch at Back of Beyond Books. Attendees can hear how the project grew from an idea into a printed deck, draw cards, enjoy sample readings, and meet the author. Illustrator and AMGA-certified rock guide Peggy Flavin, who created the art for the 52-card set, will also join the event virtually.
The Skybound Traveler deck, inspired by climbing’s metaphors of challenge and perseverance, will be available for purchase at the event and through Back of Beyond Books. Congrats, Daniel!
