The Red Devil mountain bike team secured their spot in the state championships with a first-place finish in Division 2 at the Region 6 race in Panguitch on Saturday. The Red Devils will compete on October 17-18 in Cedar City for their first Division 2 state title.
Individual standouts heading to state
Several Moab riders earned top regional rankings that position them well for state competition. Bowdie Parker leads the varsity boys division with a first-place regional ranking, while teammate Pierson Vagts earned third place.
In varsity girls competition, Elliet Trim secured second place in the region. The junior varsity ranks also feature strong Moab representation with Liesel Hays taking first in JVA girls and Flint Lugers earning fourth in JVA boys.
