WabiSabi will host a wine and music fundraiser at Spanish Valley Winery on Thursday, September 18, launching what organizers call the “Season of Wabi” – a series of fall events supporting the organization’s $1.5 million capital campaign for a permanent home.
Tickets for the event are $20 for an evening full of wine, music from the Butch Cassidies, a silent auction, and snacks from Desert Delight Charcuterie.
WabiSabi’s quest for a permanent location has been ongoing since losing their longtime building in 2024. Since then, the organization experienced multiple setbacks in securing a permanent location, settling in at 198 E. Center Street around six months ago.
The organization, which has operated for over 20 years as a Moab thrift store and community nonprofit, has raised half of the funds needed for their goal and continues seeking community support.
The fall lineup will continue in October with a block party on Center Street, followed by WabiSabi’s signature community Thanksgiving meal in November at the Grand Center.
