Congrats to Beckham Niesen & Nathaly Vazquez, Margaret L. Hopkin Students of the Month!

Margaret L. Hopkin Middle School named seventh-grader Beckham Niesen and eighth-grader Nathaly Vazquez its students of the month!

Staff says that Beckham consistently comes to class prepared and ready to learn, actively participating in discussions and contributing thoughtful insights. He willingly offers extra help when time allows, demonstrating both initiative and a strong sense of responsibility.

Beckham approaches his work with focus and seriousness, yet he also maintains a positive attitude and sense of humor that make him a pleasure to have in class. His dedication, leadership, and well-rounded character set an excellent example for his peers and reflect the values of our school community.

Beckham loves to play many different sports and mountain bikes. He likes miniature things and gardening. Beckham’s favorite place is Positano, Italy, and his talent is he can learn things easily and fast. 

His advice to others is “Get your work done the second you get it.” 

Nathaly Vazquez

Staff says that Nathaly Vazquez is a wonderful addition to class. She is attentive, polite, and consistently puts forth her best effort on all assignments. Her dedication and focus have already made her stand out among her peers. Not only is Nathaly hardworking, but she is also kind and well-mannered. She ensures everyone feels included by sharing her supplies, offering support, and volunteering to read in class. 

Nathaly actively participates in lessons and class discussions, asking thoughtful questions that deepen her understanding and benefit her classmates as well. She likes basketball and PE is her favorite subject. Nathaly also likes music and swimming. Her favorite color is blue and Sprite is her favorite drink. 

Nathaly’s advice to her classmates is “Be nice to everyone, especially to your teachers. Pay attention in class, it helps you a lot.”
