Congrats to Jace Reidhead and Ainsleigh Kasprick

Staff at Grand County High School have named Jace Reidhead and Ainsleigh Kasprick their students of the month.

Jace Reidhead (parents: Jamie Reidhead and Keith Reidhead) loves his advanced medical and health classes. He said that it was in a medical anatomy class with Mrs. Carling that he first realized that he wanted to pursue medicine as a career. Jace also participates in student government and the National Honor Society, in addition to competing on the track, cross county, and swim teams.

“I am a captain on the swim team for the second year in a row,” he said. “Our swim team took State last year, and we are ready to go fight for it again.”

Jace plans on attending Utah State University and looks forward to working in a hospital.

“The most valuable thing I have learned in high school is to have fun,” Jace said. “I know it sounds cheesy but participation is the key to having fun in high school. Join the sports, clubs, and activities that sound even mildly interesting. They will help make your life more fun and high school easier.”

Ainsleigh Kasprick (parents: Shelley and Chris Kasprick) loves a challenge, taking multiple Advanced Placement courses in addition to participating on the Cross County, basketball and track teams for the school. She also competes as part of the Science Olympiad and was named the Sterling Scholar in science. She’s still exploring college options in between her school work, sports and tutoring jobs, but she knows that if you show up and put effort in, you will be rewarded. “Decent grades and scores will benefit you more than you could imagine,” she advises other students.
