Man dies in fall at Arches National Park

A 68-year-old man was pronounced dead after falling approximately 30 feet on Devils Garden Trail in Arches National Park, National Park Service staff reported.

Emergency personnel were called early on Tuesday, October 8, to respond to the accident site near Black Arch Overlook. While CPR was attempted, the unidentified New Jersey man was pronounced dead at the scene. Grand County Sheriff’s Office and the National Park Service are investigating this incident.
