Hi friends, and beep beep! It’s Cosmo the Library Cat! Summer is here and to celebrate, Grand County Public Library is partnering with Moab Sports and Recreation to offer a free outdoor movie screening of Disney Pixar’s animated film Cars at Swanny City Park on Friday, May 31 at 8:30 pm.
In case you haven’t seen Cars before, it tells the hilarious story of a hotshot car named Lightning McQueen, who’s on an important cross-country race. Through an unfortunate series of events, McQueen winds up stuck in a small desert town called Radiator Springs, where he eventually learns important life lessons that make him a better car. It’s very heart (or engine) warming. There is plenty of humor throughout, and in keeping with Pixar movies, the animation is amazing.
Bring blankets and chairs and water and whatever you need to be comfy while you watch. There will be free popcorn to munch on!
A couple of my friends from the library will be there to let you know more about our Summer Reading program. The library will be hosting other fun events for youth this summer. Visit tinyurl.com/gcplcp for details. Keep those engines purring!
