It is with great sadness that the family of Dottie I. Erb announces her passing. In her 94 years, she was so many things to so many people, including her two sons, Vern and Rocky (Lori Ann); four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and so many friends.
Dottie passed away on March 22, 2024, at Aspen Ridge Alzheimer’s Care Center in Grand Junction, Colorado from complications of dementia.
She was born September 4, 1929, to Blaine and Vena Winebarger in the small town of Mitchell, Oregon. Her parents divorced when she was very young, and her mother re-married a rancher, Joe Martin, in Dayville, Oregon.
Dottie married George Erb on June 26, 1946. They resided in Mitchell, Oregon, for many years, then moved to Utah, Colorado, and Arizona, and eventually settled in Moab, Utah, in 1966.
Dottie’s funeral service will be held on Friday, March 29 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Moab (420 Mi Vida Drive) with a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m.. Interment will immediately follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
