Trail running triumphs: Over 600 competitors, mostly women, show up for the TransRockies Moab Run the Rocks 2024

Held from March 8 to 10, the TransRockies Moab Run the Rocks proved to be a spectacular event for trail running enthusiasts in its second year. Set against the stunning backdrop of Navajo Rocks, Gemini Bridges, and Bar M trails, the three stages offered 600 competitors a unique experience.

The event featured two main courses: “The Full Pint” covered 53.6 miles with 4,480 ft of vertical gain, catering to those seeking an intense Moab singletrack adventure. Meanwhile, “The Half Pint” provided a slightly less challenging option at 33.1 miles with 2,670 ft of vertical gain, still showcasing the best of Moab’s trails.

An impressive 71% of the competitors were women, highlighting the vibrancy and diversity of the trail-running community.
