Grand County High School Swim teams take honors at State

The Grand County High School swim team took top honors at the Utah High School Activities Association state swim meet held at Brigham Young University February 16 and 17. The boys team came out in first place combined and the girls took second.

Both teams started strong during preliminary rounds, scoring many personal bests to qualify for finals. New school records were set by Nick Hren and Oren Moore. On the Unified team, Cooper Taylor swam in the 50 free and set a new PR.

“The team crushed it!” said team coach Wendy Young. “It was an awesome way to wrap up the season. The whole team had an incredible year–so many PRs!”
