Cross Country
The Red Rocks Invitational cross country race took place on Sept. 27 at the Moab Golf Club. The Margaret L. Hopkin Middle School team competed against teams from Albert R. Lyman Middle and Monticello Elementary; the Grand County High School team against a number of regional high schools. Four HS varsity girls placed within the top ten of the 5,000 meter run: Cadence Kasprick, Ainsleigh Kasprick, Gemma Phillips, and Mia MicKay. Soccer
On Thursday, Sept. 28, the GCHS girls soccer team faced South Sevier for one of their best games yet, winning 8-0. The team’s record is now 4-5 as they head into the last few games of the season. [Jason Strother, jsmedia.io/Moab Sun News]
