Cosmo’s Corner: Visit the library book cart during Street Fest!

Hello and meow to my friends. It’s Cosmo the library cat. The annual Red Rock Arts Festival is taking place this week through Sunday, October 1 and I want to make sure that all my fellow art lovers know about it! I am especially excited about the Street Fest, which is kind of like a giant art party, and it’s taking place on Saturday, September 30 in front of the MARC (Moab Arts & Recreation Center) at 111 E. 100 N. from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Grand County Public Library’s super fun book bike will be there for most of the day. Just look for the colorful striped umbrella with some cheerful librarians beneath it. Stop by and say hello! You can choose some free books to take with you and help work on our “StickTogether Mosaic” puzzle. These puzzles are like painting by numbers, only you use little colored stickers instead of paint. At first, it just looks like a bunch of random dots of color, but after you have enough stickers, you start to see an image. I am anxious to find out what this year’s picture is, so I hope a lot of you stop by to work on it!

Of course, I know you won’t want to spend all your time at the library’s book bike.  Fortunately, there are lots of other things to do and see at the Street Fest. You can admire all kinds of cool artistic creations and make some of your own! There will also be food trucks and live music and lots of art to look at. Plus, this time of year it just feels great to be outside. I hope you can make it. Meow and ciao for now everyone!
