Cosmo’s Corner: All Together with Dinosaurs and the Moab Museum

Meow and hello, y’all! Cosmo the library cat here! I’m delighted to invite you to the next Summer Reading event at the Grand County Public Library: “All Together with Dinosaurs and the Moab Museum.”

On Tuesday, June 27, at 2 p.m. our friends from the Moab Museum will be joining us at the library to share fun and educational activities about dinosaurs–those eternally fascinating creatures who ruled the earth long before you and I got here.

In addition to reading a dinosaur story together, we’ll get to examine fabulous real dino fossils from the museum’s collection under a magnifying glass! We’ll have a chance to inspect life-size molds made from actual dinosaur footprints (they’re a lot different from my adorable pawprints), and we’ll work together on a mural recreating dinosaur track sites. We also get to make dinosaur ornament crafts to take home. This free event is geared for kids ages 3 to 10 and their caregivers, but as always, all ages are welcome.

By the way, did you know that there are a bunch of dinosaurs (and some enormous lizards) hiding in various places inside the library? Don’t worry, these dinosaurs are just papier mâché critters, not scary at all. They did absolutely not terrify me the first time I noticed one lurking in the shadows. Honest. I just like to jump out of my skin for fun and exercise. Hope to see you at 2 p.m. on Tuesday! Rrrraawwwrr!
