The Grand County High School Red Devils basketball team faced off against South Sevier on January 21, falling short with a final score of 61-41. But on January 24, they roared back against the Panguitch Bobcats. It was an extremely exciting game, with both teams close right down to the final seconds where the Red Devils emerged victorious over the Bobcats with a final score of 42 – 38.
The game was back and forth the whole first half, as the Red Devils led the Bobcats 21 – 20 going into the half. The Bobcats regained the lead for most of the third period, but with less than a minute left on the clock in the final quarter, the Red Devils were up by two points. In that last minute, points were scored by both teams but the Red Devils finished the evening with the win.
In the freshmen game, Panguitch girls won 50 – 17 and in the JV game, Grand girls won 29 – 25.
