Florence Emma Monniere (Wells) passed away at the age of 91 on June 18, 2021, at Lewiston Transitional Care of Cascadia in Lewiston, Idaho.

Florence was born in Haddonfield, New Jersey, on Aug. 20, 1929, to George and Myrle Wells. She was one of eight brothers and sisters.

Florence married Donald P. Monniere on Nov. 8, 1946, in Camden, New Jersey. They were married for 73 years. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Worland, Wyoming, and started their family. They moved to Moab in 1967.

Florence was active in church and with the church preschool. She loved to travel with her husband, Don. She loved hosting her family members who came out to Moab to visit.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald P. Monniere; her son, Kenneth P. Monniere; and her grandson, Brandon Smith.

She is survived by her sisters, Pearl Dickinson of New Jersey and Ruthie Shively of Georgia; her daughters, Linda Monniere of Colorado and Lana Trathan (Kirt) of Colorado; her son, Michael Monniere (Debra) of Idaho; her 11 grandchildren; and her 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 26 at 10 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Moab. You may send condolences to the family at www.spanishvalleymortuary.com
