Residents can celebrate America Recycles Day with the Solid Waste Special Service District #1, Colorado Document Security, the Moab Area Travel Council, and Moab Solutions with a series of special recycling events.
On Friday, Nov. 15, Moab Solutions and the Moab Area Travel Council will host Community Shred Day at the Community Recycle Center (1000 E. Sand Flats Road). From 3 to 6 p.m., Colorado Document Security will be offering free personal document shredding for local residents, up to four boxes per household.
On Saturday, Nov. 16, Moab Solutions will be offering 30¢ per pound of aluminum cans to local residents and businesses from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cans should be free of liquid and foreign objects. Aluminum cans will be collected and processed at the Community Recycle Center.
America Recycles Day is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting recycling within the U.S.
