Betty E. Mohler, 99, passed away on Sept. 14, 2019, at the Pinnacle Care Center in Price, Utah.
Betty was born Jan. 11, 1920, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Otto and Bertha Frederick Schafer. She grew up in Tiffin and, in 1941, married Robert Mohler there. They later moved to the Moab area and were some of the members that helped build St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Betty was an active member of St. Pius as long as her health would let her. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and doing needle point.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Smith of Angel Fire, New Mexico; two sons, Robert “RJ” Mohler of Clearwater, Texas and John Mohler of Moab; a sister Sally Shutt; and 6 grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. at the St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
