The Moab City Planning Commission heard comments from local residents regarding the proposed Abbey Subdivision during a public hearing on Aug. 22.
According to documents on the Moab City website, the proposed subdivision would be built on 21.53 acres on Millcreek Drive and Powerhouse Lane and consist of 66 single-family lots, 16 twin-home lots and four estate lots.
The applicant is listed as Michael Bynum and the property owner as Red Rock Partners, LLC. The commission voted 7-0 to approve the preliminary plat, though with several caveats including requirements on building height and infrastructure.
The proposed development will now go before the Moab City Council at a future meeting.
