Members of the Moab Area Housing Task Force met on July 11 at the Grand County Public Library to discuss recent news and updates from the City of Moab, the Grand County Community and Economic Development Department, the Housing Authority of Southeast Utah, Community Rebuilds and the Moab Area Land Trust. It was announced that JD McClanahan, an AmeriCorps VISTA in Grand County, was leaving his position on July 12 to attend graduate school in Illinois. Kaitlin Myers, a specialist for the Grand County Community Economic Development Department, said the mission of the Moab Area Housing Task Force is to increase community education; provide a network of support for professionals in the housing industry; work with influencers and decisionmakers in the nonprofit, for-profit, and public sectors; and facilitate implementation of the Moab Area Housing Plan.
