Moab’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade was held on Sunday, March 17, along the Millcreek Parkway. Charlotte Mates (pictured center, far right) founded the parade in 2000. Mates’ mother is Irish and she said her maternal great-grandfather was the first Grand Marshall of the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Park City in 1888. The celebratory parade route went from Rotary Park to Swanny City Park. This year, Yvonne Bliss, owner of Piñatas by Bliss, donated a “Grand Green Ball” filled with 5 pounds of candy and toys for the kids to enjoy.
