Cary Merritt from Leadville, Colorado, rides during day two along the Colorado River at the Skinny Tire Festival on Sunday, March 10. She lost a brother to colon cancer and he was only 55. She said she is doing the ride in honor of him. Each year, the Skinny Tire Festival supports cancer research and survivors through its event and has donated more than $5 million to various cancer foundations and beneficiaries since it the festival was founded in 2001 by Mark Griffith.
