Grand County High School senior Joopy Bamrungmuang tied for first place in the season-opening Region 15 girls golf meet at the Moab Golf Club on Wednesday, March 6, leading the Grand County High School girls golf team to a second-place finish with 413 points. Richfield dominated with a 355, while Manti took third at 441 and Emery took fourth at 459. South Sevier took fifth at 495, San Juan was sixth at 514 and North Sanpete took seventh at 571.
Richfield was scheduled to host Region 15’s second meet of the season at Cove View on Wednesday, March 13. The seven teams from Region 15 reconvene at the Millsite Golf Course in Ferron, hosted by Emery, on Thursday, March 21, at 11 a.m.
