The Grand County School District has announced that it is hosting an open, public community information meeting for the new Grand County Middle School building.
The community information night will be held on Thursday, March 7, with three identical information sessions at 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The event will be held at Grand County Middle School, 439 S. 100 East.
Parents, families and community members are invited to attend the event to learn about the new school and upcoming construction.
MHTN Architects will be presenting on the building process, the site plan and student usage plans for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years. Additionally, each session will include a 3D virtual tour of the new facility.
Grand County School District Superintendent JT Stroder said the funding is now in place and the district plans to break ground on the new building within the next three months.
The new middle school building will be constructed in an open field behind the current building, which dates back to the 1950s.
For additional information about the event, please contact the middle school principal Cari Caylor at 435-259-7158.
